INTRODUCTION
ESPN set out to bring ESPN The Magazine into a fully realized digital experience, merging it with ESPN Insider to create a unified subscription platform. As Online Creative Director, I helped lead a team that redefined how ESPN’s on-air talent was positioned across digital, transforming personalities into scalable, content-driven brands aligned with high-growth audience segments.

ESPN set out to bring ESPN The Magazine into a fully realized digital experience, merging it with ESPN Insider to create a unified subscription platform. As Online Creative Director, I helped lead a team that redefined how ESPN’s on-air talent was positioned across digital, transforming personalities into scalable, content-driven brands aligned with high-growth audience segments.

STRATEGY
We identified an opportunity to organize ESPN’s talent into distinct verticals that could drive deeper engagement and monetization. I directed the rebranding, repositioning and user experience across Fantasy Sports, Gambling, NFL, and Rumors, establishing unique identities, voices, and user experiences for each—effectively turning talent into standalone digital products within the ESPN ecosystem.

I oversaw the creative direction and rollout of a network of web and mobile apps, blogs, and interactive tools, ensuring seamless integration across ESPN.com. I also directed high-impact homepage experiences during key moments, including the NCAA Tournament, Fantasy Draft season, and the NFL Draft, maximizing visibility and user adoption, while ensuring the ultimate in performance and functionality during high-traffic surges.

It also significantly expanded the role of talent-led content within ESPN’s digital ecosystem during a period when ESPN.com ranked as the #1 sports site globally, the #3 news site, and a top 50 site overall.
